Winner To Be Revealed October 2 At National Manufacturing Day In Martinsburg
After more than 3,200 votes were cast and voting now ended, the West Virginia Manufacturers Association (WVMA) announced the top five West Virginia made products for their inaugural Coolest Thing Made in WV Contest. The winners are:
Constellium – Metal for Artemis 2
Constellium's Ravenswood team produced high-performance aluminum plates, including aluminum-lithium products for the Artemis 2 rocket.
Silas Young – Appalachian Critter Company
Appalachian Critter Co. is a youth-owned 3D printing business created and operated by 13-year-old West Virginian Silas Young. From his home in Sutton, Silas uses a growing fleet of 3D printers to manufacture colorful articulated animals, creatures, and other unique products that he sells at fairs and festivals across West Virginia.
Warwood Tool Co. – Pulaski Axe
Located in Wheeling, Warwood was founded in 1854 and manufacturers tools for various industries including coal, oil & gas, railway maintenance, construction and even gardening.
Mountain Table – Bourbon Barrel Infused Coffee
Mountain Table Bourbon Infused Coffee is a distinctly West Virginian collaboration between specialty coffee, craft bourbon, and the place we call home based in Renick, West Virginia.
Drawing on a background in wildlife management, environmental consulting, and restoration project management, the founder believed a dependable, long-lasting deer repellent could be created to deliver professional-grade performance while remaining accessible to a much broader market than the existing specialty products.
“We want to thank everyone who cast a vote for their favorite product made here at home,” said Bill Bissett, WVMA President. “I think these top 5 products show the diversity of manufacturing in the Mountain State, and it will be interesting to see who comes in first place.”
The 2026 winner of the WVMA’s Coolest Thing Made in WV Contest will be announced at Blue Ridge Community & Technical College on Friday, October 2 in conjunction with National Manufacturing Day.
