The West Virginia Manufacturers Association (WVMA) announced that Senator Anne Charnock of Kanawha County and Delegate Ryan Browning of Wayne County are the distinguished recipients of the 2026 Champion of Industry Awards at its recent annual All-State Legislative Dinner at the Charleston Coliseum & Conference Center. These awards recognize their legislative service, outstanding contributions to the manufacturing sector, and their unwavering commitment to advancing West Virginia's economic growth.
“Although she’s been in the West Virginia Senate a short time, Senator Charnock truly cares about economic development and the importance of what our manufacturers do across West Virginia,” said Bill Bissett, WVMA President. “She is engaged, communicative, and wonderful to work with. At a time where political division and a lack of civility seem to be the norm, Senator Charnock serves her constituents in a positive and thoughtful way. We thank her for her service in the West Virginia Senate.”
“In last Regular Session of the West Virginia Legislature, Delegate Browning was instrumental in passing House Bill 4005, also known as the Skills to Work bill,” said Bill Bissett, WVMA President. “This bill is an excellent example of how the legislative process is supposed to work. Delegate Browning listens to the needs of his constituents and finds way to help, especially the rural parts of West Virginia like his home county of Wayne. He possesses a strong background in business and uses that experience to create opportunities here at home as well as addressing challenges like increasing our state’s workforce participation, especially with our next generation. He approaches his service in the West Virginia House with humility and intelligence, as we are lucky to have him as a legislator.”
