The West Virginia Manufacturers Association (WVMA) has extended nominations for their inaugural Coolest Thing Made in WV Contest for an additional week. The deadline for nominations is now Saturday, August 22, 2026. As previously announced, this online voting tournament showcases the world-class products manufactured here in the Mountain State.Nominated companies compete head-to-head through open voting that will decide who takes home the title. Paid advertising is prohibited - this competition is a pure people's choice contest.
“We are very pleased with the nominations that we have received thus far but want to give the public some more time to nominate their favorite West Virginia made product,” said Bill Bissett, WVMA President. “With this being the first year of the contest, we want to make certain that everyone who wants to participate has the opportunity to do so.”
Nominations are now open to the public until Saturday, August 22. Open Voting will be August 26 – September 14 (Monday to Monday, 4 weeks). The Top 5 Made in WV Products will be announced on September 21 with the overall winner announced on National Manufacturing Day on Friday, October 2, 2026.
