The West Virginia Manufacturers Association (WVMA) announced today that Jennifer Piercy, who currently serves as the Economic Development Director for US Senator Shelley Moore Capito, will join their staff as Vice President beginning December 16, 2026.
"Jennifer Piercy has been a valued member of my team, contributing to our economic development efforts on behalf of West Virginia,” United States Senator Shelley Moore Capito said. “I appreciate her service and wish her success as she begins this new role with the West Virginia Manufacturers Association."“Jennifer’s background provides her with a strong understanding of association management, government and the role that manufacturing plays in West Virginia’s economy and I am excited for her join our team here at the WVMA,” WVMA President Bill Bissett said.
“I would like to thank Senator Capito for the opportunity to help serve WV and its people,” Piercy said. “The experience and knowledge I gained during my time in her office was invaluable and will help assist and grow our manufacturers throughout our great state. With manufacturing growing here at home, it is an exciting time to be involved during this historic expansion of our economy.”Jennifer Piercy is a native of Elkview, West Virginia and her professional experience includes a number of government positions and non-profit roles – including the City of Charleston, WV Division of Tourism, previous Executive Director of the County Commissioners’ Association of West Virginia and most recently served as Economic Development Director for U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito. Piercy earned her bachelor’s and two master’s degrees from Marshall University.
